As a result of massive Russian strikes on Ukraine’s power grid, scheduled power outages are taking place in a number of regions. In this regard, the Ministry of Digital Transformation reminded Ukrainians how to maintain communication and access to the Internet during blackouts, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has prepared three simple tips to stay connected and have access to the Internet.
How to save the internet:
- check with your provider whether it has switched to energy-saving internet networks using xPON technology; if not, find the nearest provider that has and apply for a connection.
- To speed up the process, cooperate with your neighbours; buy a power supply for the Wi-Fi router and a cable to power the router.
How to keep your mobile connection:
- disable network auto-selection;
- find and select an available network: Vodafon UA, UA-KYIVSTAR, LIFECELL;
- if you failed to register, try again or select another network;
- check the possibility of outgoing calls and SMS.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation also recommends downloading the map of “Points of Unbreakable Integrity” in Diia. There you can filter the points that are open right now and the closest to you.
