The first batches of US nuclear fuel have been delivered to Khmelnytskyy nuclear power plant. This was reported by the press service of Enerhoatom, Kommersant Ukrainian

“Russia’s monopoly on the supply of nuclear fuel has been completely destroyed. All fuel to be supplied to domestic nuclear power plants will be American or manufactured in Ukraine using Westinghouse technology,” Energoatom head Petro Kotin said.
From now on, all domestic nuclear power plants will operate on American fuel, the company said.
Recall that so far two units of KNPP worked on Russian fuel, which was purchased before the full-scale invasion. After 24 February 2022, Energoatom completely stopped cooperation with the aggressor country.
The company carried out a number of technical works and purchased the necessary equipment to ensure that all Ukrainian nuclear power units with VVER-1000 and VVER-440 reactors operated with nuclear fuel from the US company Westinghouse.
