The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the areas of state support for farmers registered in the State Agrarian Register and increased the amount of payments. This is reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
In particular, budget funds will be provided in the following areas and in the following amounts:
- a budget subsidy per 1 hectare for farmers who cultivate up to 120 hectares of agricultural land. The amount has been increased from UAH 3.1 thousand to UAH 4 thousand per 1 hectare;
- a separate budget subsidy per 1 hectare for farmers from the de-occupied territories and those territories where military operations have ended. The amount of support is UAH 8 thousand per 1 ha;
- a special budget subsidy for keeping cattle (cows) of all productivity types. Farmers with 3 to 100 cows will receive UAH 7 thousand per head;
- a special budget subsidy for keeping breeding stock of goats and/or sheep. The amount of support is UAH 2 thousand per head for those who keep 5 to 500 heads of goats and sheep.
Applications for budgetary aid are submitted to the SAR after the announcement of the start of admission: from 1 May to 30 June 2024.
The application is registered in accordance with the requirements of Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine “On Administrative Procedure”. In case of non-compliance of the application with the established form or provision of incomplete information, the official of the State Agency for State Property Fund, who reviews the applications, decides to leave the application without movement in accordance with Article 43 of the Law of Ukraine “On Administrative Procedure”.
Earlier, the Government approved the procedure for compensating farmers for humanitarian demining of agricultural land .
The state budget for 2024 allocates UAH 3 billion for the programme of compensation for humanitarian demining. The state will compensate 80% of the cost of demining to farmers who work on their own or leased land.
