King Charles III of Great Britain has been diagnosed with cancer. This is stated on the website of Buckingham Palace, reports
The statement said that the monarch’s cancer was confirmed by tests after his recent hospitalisation for treatment of an enlarged prostate.
Subsequent diagnostic tests revealed the form of cancer.
“His Majesty has today begun regular treatment, during which time doctors have advised him to postpone public duties. During this period, His Majesty will continue to deal with state affairs and official documentation as usual,”
– the press service added.
Buckingham Palace said that the King “has decided to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope that it will help public understanding of all those around the world who are affected by cancer”.
