Last night, Ukraine suffered a large-scale attack with missiles of various types and from different directions, as well as dozens of drones. Explosions were heard in a number of cities in different regions.
The shelling damaged thermal and hydroelectric power plants in the central and western regions.
Emergency shutdowns have been introduced in Dnipropetrovs’k region and hourly shutdowns in Kharkiv region.
Ukraine’s Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said that this time the enemy attacked facilities in Dnipropetrovska, Poltavska and Cherkaska oblasts.
“The target of the attack with drones and missiles was, in particular, electricity generation facilities,” he said,
– he emphasised.
Galushchenko emphasised that rescuers are already working to eliminate the consequences.
Dnipropetrovs’k region: several power facilities damaged, there are victims
Russia massively attacked the Dnipro region with missiles and drones. Several energy facilities were damaged in the Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Kamianske districts.
The head of the Dnipropetrovs’k regional military administration, Sergey Lysak, said that a man was injured at one of the power facilities. He was provided with the necessary medical care.
In Kamianske, the occupants destroyed a dacha co-operative. Three country houses were destroyed and four were damaged. Cars were also damaged. There are five known wounded as a result of the Russian attack. Among them is a five-year-old girl who will be treated on an outpatient basis. A 19-year-old girl, a 47-year-old woman, and two men, aged 36 and 47, were also injured. One of them is in serious condition.
Lysak said that at night, air defence systems shot down ten drones over the region in Pavlohrad, Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro and Kamianske districts. Four missiles were destroyed over Dnipro.
“The terror in Nikopol region does not stop. The attack damaged a sanatorium, three private houses and outbuildings. The enemy attacked the Marhanets community and Nikopol. A shop was destroyed. A clothing repair pavilion was damaged. People are safe,”
– emphasised Lysak.
Ivano-Frankivsk region
The enemy attacked critical infrastructure facilities again, said Svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration.
“Prykarpattia is not spared from the threat. The enemy targeted a critical infrastructure facility. At dawn, our brave defenders of the sky neutralised the air targets,”

Kyiv region
The head of the Kyiv regional military administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, said that air defence forces were operating in the region, and that targets were shot down. However, there was a fall of debris.
“The enemy launched a combined massive attack using missiles and drones. The alarm was raised three times and it lasted almost all night. Air defence forces were working in the area. There are targets downed,”

Cherkasy region: there was a missile hit
The head of the Cherkasy regional military administration, Ihor Taburets, said that during a massive shelling, Russian occupiers launched a missile attack on an energy infrastructure facility in Cherkasy region.
“We also have missile hits on the energy infrastructure facility. All services are on the ground. Work to eliminate the consequences continues,”
– the statement said.
The head of the JMA stressed that the air defence forces managed to repel part of the air attack.
Chernivtsi region
The head of the Chernivtsi regional military administration, Ruslan Zaparanyuk, said that during an air raid alert, air defence forces shot down Russian missiles over the territory of Chernivtsi region.
“During the air raid, air defence forces shot down enemy missiles over the territory of the region. All relevant services have been dispatched to the places where the wreckage fell,”
the statement said.
According to him, there were no casualties.
How many missiles were shot down
Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, said that the occupiers used various types of missiles and attack drones. Air defence destroyed 84 air targets.
99 means of air attack:
- 60 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs (launch area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk region – Russian Federation);
- 3 X-47M2 “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missiles (from three MiG-31K fighters – Ryazan region – Russian Federation);
- 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (TOT Crimea);
- 9 X-59 guided missiles (from nine Su-34 aircraft – Belgorod region);
- 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles (Kursk region – Russian Federation);
- 21 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles (from eleven Tu-95MS strategic bombers – Engels – Russian Federation).
On the night of 24 March, air defence forces shot down 18 of 29 Russian missiles and 25 of 28 Shahed attack drones over Ukraine. A critical infrastructure facility was attacked in the Lviv region. In the Nikopol region, the wreckage of a downed drone damaged a power facility.
In the morning, air raid alerts were sounded again in almost all regions of Ukraine. In the Lviv region, there were two hits to the same critical infrastructure facility that the occupiers targeted at night. In addition, the sounds of explosions were heard in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
