The schedule of matches of the Ukrainian national ice hockey team at the World Championship in Division 1B has been announced, Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the Ukrainian Ice Hockey Federation.
The World Ice Hockey Championship in Division 1B will be held from 27 April to 3 May in Lithuania. Ukraine will play against the national teams of Lithuania, Estonia, China, the Netherlands and Spain. The team that takes first place in the group will play in Group A of Division I at the next World Cup. Only the Top Division is higher than Group A. Thus, Ukraine is currently competing in the third strongest division of the World Cup.
Ukraine will start its performances on 27 April with a game against Estonia. The entire schedule of the national team’s games will be as follows (Kyiv time):
- 27 April. Estonia – Ukraine, 19:30;
- 28 April. Ukraine – Netherlands, 19:30;
- 30 April. Ukraine – China, 12:30;
- 1 May. Ukraine – Spain, 12:30;
- 3 May. Lithuania vs Ukraine, 19:30.
The matches will be broadcast by Suspilne Sport – they will be available on cable networks, OTT platforms and on the Suspilne website.
Meanwhile, today, 24 April, Ukraine’s national team will play its last friendly match before the World Cup. At 18:00, the Ukrainian national team will face China, our group rival. The match will be available to watch here. on 21 April, Ukraine defeated Lithuania 5-2 in a friendly match.
