The National Agency for Asset Recovery and Management (ARMA) has received land plots in Kiev, which former MPs Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak, suspected of treason, owned through their proxies. About it reports Komersant ukrainskyi

“Land plots in Kiev, which through proxy owned affiliated brothers-ex-national MPs Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak, transferred to the management of the Natsagentstva. Agency for search and management of assets (ARMA) received a letter from the Prosecutor with the relevant decision of the investigating judge of the Pechersk district court of Kiev”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that among the transferred assets corporate rights PE “Orest”, LLC “Osokorki-7”, LLC “Akadem-Club”, PE “Firm Victoria”, LLC “Osokorki-7” and land plots of more than 49 hectares.
The Central Interregional Department of the agency has been instructed to inspect the seized property for further preparation of the asset for management.
We would like to point out that on 30 July, a court arrested additional assets belonging to the brothers of former MPs Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak.
The matter concerns land, corporate rights, property complexes and vehicles of four enterprises in Lviv. Among them are a concrete production plant and a construction company.
The total value of the blocked property is almost UAH 400 million.
The relevant assets have been transferred to the National Agency for the identification, search and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes (ARMA).
The SBU recalled that in June this year both brothers of former MPs were exposed on large-scale financial transactions. They used controlled companies to embezzle funds through non-payment of taxes to the Ukrainian state budget.
Then Serhiy Medvedchuk and Bohdan Kozak were informed in absentia of suspicion under Part 3 Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evasion of taxes, fees (mandatory payments).
Then, on the basis of materials of the Security Service and the State Bureau of Investigation, the first arrest of the property of the suspects for more than 200 million hryvnias took place.
Now both defendants are hiding abroad. Complex measures are being taken to bring them to justice.
It should be noted that Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak were informed about suspicion of treason back in 2021. In January 2023, President Volodymyr Zelensky stripped them of their Ukrainian citizenship.
Medvedchuk’s arrest
Medvedchuk himself was arrested on 12 April 2022 as a result of a special operation of the SBU. He is a defendant in several criminal cases on high treason and economic crimes.
on 21 September, Medvedchuk was exchanged for Ukrainian servicemen held by Russia. As a result, 215 Ukrainian defenders were returned from captivity.
