President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismisses three deputy heads of the Presidential Office
The relevant decrees appeared on the website of the President of Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
We are talking about the dismissal of
- deputy Head of the OP Yulia Sokolovska
- deputy Head of the OP Oleksiy Kuleba
- deputy Head of the Presidential Office Mykola Tochytskyi.
The dismissal of the two deputies is connected with their appointment to new positions.
Earlier in the day, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Oleksiy Kuleba as Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, and Mykola Tochytskyi as head of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.
At a meeting on 5 September, members of the Verkhovna Rada dismissed two ministers and the head of the State Property Fund and appointed nine new ministers.
On 5 September, the Parliament appointed nine ministers to the Cabinet of Ministers. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and 10 ministers remained in their positions.
Thus, on 5 September, MPs voted to appoint Olga Stefanishyna, Oleksiy Kuleba, Svitlana Hrynchuk, Matviy Bidnyi, Mykola Tochytskyi, Nataliya Kalmykova, Herman Smetanin, Vitaliy Koval, and Andriy Sybiga.
Appointments:
- Andriy Sybiga is the Minister of Foreign Affairs. From 2024, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
- Olha Stefanishyna – Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice. Stefanishyna was dismissed at a Rada meeting on 4 September. The dismissal was formal so that she could be reappointed to the same position, but with the portfolio of Minister of Justice added to her status as Deputy Prime Minister.
- Oleksiy Kuleba – Vice Prime Minister for Recovery – Minister of Community and Territorial Development. He worked as the deputy head of Andriy Yermak’s Presidential Administration.
- Svitlana Hrynchuk – Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources. Formerly Deputy Minister of Energy.
- Matviy Bidnyi – Minister of Youth and Sports. Previously, he was the acting minister.
- Mykola Tochytskyi – Minister of Culture. He worked as the deputy head of Andriy Yermak’s OP.
- Natalia Kalmykova – Minister of Veterans Affairs. From September 2023, she worked as Deputy Minister of Defence for Social Development.
- Herman Smetanin – Minister for Strategic Industries. He was the head of Ukroboronprom.
- Vitaliy Koval – Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food. He was the head of the State Property Fund.
