Zelensky imposes sanctions against companies from Russia, China, Iran and Uzbekistan: list

On Friday, May 9, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree enacting National Security and Defense Council sanctions against 58 individuals and 74 legal entities associated with Russia. The relevant information was published on the President’s website, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to the decree, sanctions have been imposed against 74 companies from Russia, China, Iran and Uzbekistan, as well as 58 individuals.

The list of individuals subject to the new sanctions includes a number of artists and business owners. Among them, for example, is Vadim Tsyganov, husband and producer of singer Vika Tsyganova. The Tsyganovs actively support the war against Ukraine.

They are subject to sanctions:

  • Grant Akopov, head of a group of large production, engineering and consulting structures, in particular, technical re-equipment of machine-building enterprises in Russia and the CIS;
  • Petro Vashchenko, CEO of the Unimatic Engineering Center, one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of metalworking machines and tools in Russia;
  • Yevgeny Duduyev, Head of Volga Machines;
  • Vladislav Ivochkin, head of IPK Finval, which resells rotary sights to the Vologda Optical and Mechanical Plant for the production of Sosna-U sights for Proryv tanks.

The sanctions also affected:

  • Arzamsk research and development bureau Impulse, which works for the Russian defense industry;
  • the production association Fort;
  • the research institute of technical systems Sinvent;
  • omega Special Design and Technology Bureau;
  • Samara Metallurgical Plant;
  • All-Russian Institute of Light Alloys.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council was entrusted with control over the implementation of the decision.
