Zelensky establishes lifetime scholarships for 17 cultural figures

Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wed. on April 9, he signed a decree awarding lifetime scholarships to 17 cultural and artistic figures who have reached the age of seventy. The corresponding decree was published on the president’s website, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
The scholarship recipients include composer and People’s Artist of Ukraine Oleksandr Honobolin, veteran of the National Honored Academic Chapel of Ukraine “Dumka” Lyubov Kryzhanovska, composer and Honored Artist of Ukraine Neli Kushnir, and opera singer of the USSR, People’s Artist of the USSR Gizel Tsypola.
In addition, according to the document, lifetime scholarships were awarded to
- writers Ivan Zakharchenko and Serhiy Rachynets;
- songwriters Bohdan Stelmakh and Yosyp Fishtyk;
- film director, People’s Artist of Ukraine Yaroslav Lupiy,
- restorer Natalia Motyrieva;
- film actor and Honored Artist of Ukraine Yurii Rudchenko;
- organizer of creative projects, member of the creative union “Association of Variety Artists of Ukraine” Leonid Dekhtyarenko;
- honored cultural workers Maria Protsenko and Viktor Shtefan.
In addition, payments were made to Andriy Sai, an accordion teacher, Anatoliy Selentiy, a choral teacher, and accordionist, and Volodymyr Otkydach, a doctor of art history and professor of orchestral instruments.
