President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set up two military administrations in Zaporizhzhia region. This is stated in decree No. 597/2024, published on the official website of the head of state, Komersant ukrainskyi

The President has decided to establish the Vasylivka City Military Administration of Vasylivka District, Zaporizhzhia Region, and the Pologiv City Military Administration of Pologiv District, Zaporizhzhia Region, the document says.
“The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration shall take measures related to the establishment of military administrations specified in Article 1 of this Decree in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Regime of Martial Law”, the document says.
This decree comes into force from the date of its publication, i.e. from 27 August 2024.
It is worth noting that the settlements of Vasylivka and Polohy have been occupied since the first weeks of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. On the map of hostilities by DeepState analysts, Vasylivka and Polohy are marked in red, indicating that these settlements are currently under occupation by Russian troops.
