In an evening address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was ready to hold talks with Russia in any format, but stressed that a complete ceasefire for at least 30 days should be a prerequisite for dialogue, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“I spoke with ministers today – we had the ministers of foreign affairs and defense of Luxembourg as guests. First of all, we talked about our cooperation in Europe and support. I want to thank them for their support of Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said.
According to the President, he also spoke with the Luxembourg ministers about diplomacy and the need for a complete ceasefire.
“Of course, we talked about diplomacy, about the need for a complete ceasefire, unconditional and for a sufficient period – at least 30 days. We need to stop the strikes, stop the killings and then look for a solution in negotiations,” Zelenskyy said.
According to the Head of State, Kyiv is open to a diplomatic solution to the conflict, but Russia must take the first step – stop the aggression.
“We must stop the strikes, stop the killings and then seek a solution in negotiations. We are ready for any format of conversation. Russia must stop the strikes and the war,” the President emphasized.
