President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by phone with Donald Trump, congratulating him on his “historic and convincing victory in the US presidential election.” Zelensky wrote about this on the social network X, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

Zelensky noted that Trump’s victory was made possible “thanks to his impressive election campaign.”

“I thanked his family and team for their excellent work. We agreed to maintain a close dialogue and develop our cooperation. Strong and unwavering US leadership is vital for the world and for a just peace,” Zelensky wrote.

It should be noted that the vote count in the US election is still ongoing. But it is already known that Trump is winning by a large margin over his rival, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.

Trump currently has 295 electoral college votes, when he needs 270 to win. Harris has 226 votes.

In addition, the Republicans, whose candidate was Trump, won a majority in the Senate – 52 of the 50 seats needed.

As for the House of Representatives, it is not yet possible to determine who won the majority. After all, Republicans and Democrats are almost tied: the former won 198 seats, and the latter won 178. But analysts are already saying that Republicans are likely to have a majority in both houses of Congress.
