President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with US President Joe Biden twice in two days. This was stated by the President’s spokesman Serhiy Nikiforov during a telethon, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
According to him, the main purpose of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to the United States is to convey to Joe Biden and US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris a plan for Ukraine’s victory.
“Tomorrow, the president will meet with the US president, a short meeting on the sidelines of the UN. And the big meeting, the big one, will be the day after tomorrow, on the 26th. We expect the greatest results from these events,” Nikiforov said.
Bilateral meetings with partners are currently taking place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Contacts are taking place at all levels.
The President of Ukraine also met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. It was a one-on-one meeting, even without interpreters.
“However, the leaders decided to hold it in a full one-on-one format, without interpreters, behind absolutely closed doors. They chose this format, so nothing public can be taken out of this meeting,” the President’s spokesman said.
Earlier it was reported that US President Joe Biden is seeking to strengthen Ukraine at the end of his term in office. He has allegedly instructed all his subordinates to “move heaven and earth” so that Ukraine receives all the help it needs from the United States.
It is known that Zelenskyy is already in the United States, where he is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on 25 September. By then, the Ukrainian president is going to present his victory plan to US President Joe Biden and his Vice President Kamala Harris, opposition presidential candidate Donald Trump, and the US Congress. Zelenskyy will also present the plan to all key partners. Only then will he share it with the Ukrainian people.
