President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met with International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Kareem Khan. This is reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the press service of the Presidential Administration.
“Thank you for everything you do for us, for your support, thank you for your decision to participate in the United for Justice conference. Each of these signals is important to us and it is very important that the world hears us,” Zelenskyy said during the meeting.
The President noted the ongoing cooperation of the ICC with the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Zelenskyy recalled that Ukraine has ratified the Rome Statute and stressed that it is extremely important to prevent the ignoring of court decisions on arrest warrants for Russian war criminals.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the fight against the forced displacement and deportation of Ukrainian children and the investigation of these crimes.
