According toUkrayinska Pravda, it is the head of Vitali Klitschko’s UDAR party in Odesa region, Oleksandr Sukhanov.
In particular, the defendant guaranteed that the entrepreneur would be leased a plot in the recreational part of Kyiv near the Dnipro River, which is on the balance sheet of the Kyiv community.
It is a boat station located in the coastal zone in the Obolon district of Kyiv in the Natalka Park. The company has repeatedly tried to lease this land plot to no avail.
However, officials refused the entrepreneur, citing artificially created bureaucratic obstacles.
Subsequently, the director of this company, on the advice of a friend, sought advice from a lawyer from Odesa region, who promised to resolve the land issue. During the meetings, the lawyer said that he had connections in the Kyiv City Council and would be able to help the company lease a 0.5-hectare plot of land for 25 years. He estimated the solution to this issue at USD 1 million.
For this amount, the defendant “guaranteed” to coordinate the land issue in the relevant commission and during meetings of the Kyiv City Council.
A politician-lawyer was detained red-handed in Kyiv when he received USD 900 thousand in “advance payment”.
The detainee was served a notice of suspicion under Part 5 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (fraud committed on a large scale or by an organized group). The sanction of the article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment.
The issue of choosing a type of detention is currently being decided. Law enforcement officers have prepared a motion to keep him in custody with an alternative bail of UAH 38 million.
Comprehensive measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice. In particular, law enforcement officers are conducting searches at the KCSA offices.
