The cost of a kilowatt-hour has increased for most charging station operators in Ukraine compared to April. The price increase ranged from 50 kopecks to one hryvnia. This is reported by experts of the Institute for Automotive Market Research, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs

The experts analyzed data from the mobile applications of the largest operators of electric charging stations in Ukraine, which led to the conclusion that the price of services has risen.

“The average price of a kilowatt-hour through the AC port (alternating current charging port) is UAH 15.15 (UAH 0.26), and through the DC port (a port for fast charging of electric vehicles that uses direct current) – UAH 17.82 (UAH 0.42),” the report says.

Experts have also determined that about 40% of the Ukrainian fleet has batteries with a capacity of more than 50 kWh, so they can be safely classified as “long-haul”, or at least as suitable for interregional travel.

The cost of a kilowatt-hour has increased for most charging station operators in Ukraine compared to April.

According to the ICA experts, higher tariffs are more common at roadside charging stations, especially if they are high-speed (80…100 kW and more). Lower tariffs are mainly for charging stations located in the parking lots of various businesses – hotels, shopping centers, restaurants, etc.

So, if you charge your electric car exclusively at an EZS (electric charging station), the savings factor does not disappear: with an average consumption of 20 kWh per 100 km, this distance will cost an average of UAH 370 (UAH 10 compared to the previous month).

The least expensive option for a small car with an internal combustion engine equipped with gas cylinders will cost (at 12 l/100 km of propane-butane mixture) 430 UAH. And this is still a rather optimistic value; in practice, cars with LPG systems usually require more fuel. A gasoline car with 10 l/100 km will spend 550 UAH for the same distance.
