Hundreds instead of kopecks: popular services in ASCs may rise significantly in price in Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted in the first reading Bill No. 4380, which provides for a significant update of the system of payment for administrative services. The goal is to ensure stable funding for administrative service centers (ASCs), MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said , according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The initiators of the bill emphasize that most administrative services are currently either free or too cheap. For example, the registration of a place of residence costs only 13.60 UAH, the state fee for marriage is 85 kopecks, and some notarial acts cost 17-34 kopecks.
The new law proposes to set clear tariffs for more than 170 of the most popular services. The minimum administrative fee will be UAH 20. For example:
- registration of a business or land plot will cost UAH 100-200;
- marriage registration – UAH 200 instead of the current 85 kopecks.
A 25% discount is provided for electronic services.
At the same time, some services will remain free of charge, including social protection, pensions, for minors (e.g., issuing the first passport), and for people in need of special protection.
Payments for services will be made through banks or online. In communities where there are no banking institutions, ASCs will be able to accept payments directly.
