Tomorrow, the Verkhovna Rada may adopt in the first reading the draft law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Certain Issues of Military Service, Mobilisation and Military Registration” (No. 10449). This was was announced by a member of the Defence Committee, MP Yuriy Zdebskyi.
“The first reading is scheduled for tomorrow. The committee will come in the morning, meet tomorrow morning, and we will see how the committee will do. We don’t know what the committee’s decision will be yet, but the committee is meeting tomorrow morning. We need to agree on the draft law before it is submitted to the session hall,”
– said the MP.
Earlier, MP Iryna Gerashchenko said that the draft law on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine on certain issues of military service, mobilisation and military registration 10449 and its alternatives had been submitted for consideration by the session.
237 MPs voted in favour of this decision.
Gerashchenko noted that the Anti-Corruption Committee has already stated that the new draft law has corruption risks.
She also noted that the draft law was being considered despite the fact that the 15 days required for submitting alternative drafts had not passed since its introduction.
For his part, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said that the parliament had shortened the deadline for submitting alternative draft laws on mobilisation (No. 10449). This decision was voted for by 237 MPs.
The MP noted that although this is a technical issue, it is important in terms of timing. This opens up the possibility to consider the draft law at the Committee this week and submit it for the first reading.
