The Energy Efficiency Fund has already received 100 applications for participation in the Greendome program. This was reported by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

This program helps to guarantee the energy independence of buildings to ensure the smooth operation of critical utilities: lighting, elevators and pumps for water and heat supply. The leading regions in terms of the number of applications submitted are Kyiv region (40 applications) and Lviv region (22 applications).

Most applications involve the installation of solar power plants. This solution ensures partial energy independence of buildings and avoids long power outages. The use of solar power plants also significantly reduces the cost of maintaining buildings, including electricity.

The number of applications for participation in the Grindim Program is growing every month. The total cost of the submitted projects as of November 18, 2024, is UAH 146.864 million, and the expected amount of grants is UAH 97.242 million. In total, the GridIM Program will install SPPs with a total capacity of 2.8 MW, which will reduce electricity consumption by 3.4 GW, which is more than UAH 13.07 million in cost savings.

Currently, the Energy Efficiency Fund has the potential to support several hundred more projects to install alternative energy sources, which will help thousands of Ukrainians go through the 2024-2025 heating season without complications and save significant money on home maintenance.
