Following its slogan “Care for the Big and the Small”, ANC Pharmacy Chain has been trying to provide high-quality and affordable medicines to Ukrainians in all parts of the country for more than 20 years. However, in today’s realities, this slogan is gaining new meanings. Supporting the Defense Forces and people affected by the hostilities is one of the meanings of the word “care”, which has gained its meaning after the start of full-scale Russian aggression. The ANC pharmacy chain has become one of the Ukrainian businesses for which helping those who need it most has become part of their corporate culture. Since the beginning of 2022, the company has been actively engaged in charitable activities, trying to help where it is most needed. ANC continued its charitable activities in 2024.

In 2024, the pharmacy chain actively cooperated with leading charitable foundations and initiatives, directing joint efforts to support the army and Ukrainians affected by the war. This partnership has become an important area of the company’s charitable activities, as it has allowed us to effectively direct resources to where help was most needed. The Serhiy Prytula Foundation, Come Back Alive, UNITED 24, and RAZOM have been partners of the ANC Pharmacy Chain since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and in 2024 the history of cooperation was expanded with new large-scale projects. One of them is the purchase of 16 lung ventilators for hospitals in Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions.

Another important project launched by the ANC Network together with the Army Competent Assistance Foundation “Come Back Alive” was the Cashback for Donation campaign. The idea of the campaign is that everyone who makes a donation on the anc.ua website, which will be credited to the Come Back Alive Fund, will receive 1% cashback to their LIKE bonus account. These bonuses can be used to buy medicines and health products at ANC, Kopiyka and SHAR@ pharmacies.

“Each donation within the initiative is a real help to our military. These funds are turned into the necessary equipment that supports our defenders at the front: thermal imagers, quadcopters, cars, etc.”, says Oleh Karpenko, Deputy Director of the Come Back Alive Foundation.

Also, under the umbrella of PHARMSILA, together with BADM and OPTIVITA UKRAINE, ANC has transferred more than 100 FPV drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, the ANC Pharmacy Chain joined large-scale fundraisers. In particular, the Unity 2.0 collection for FPV drones from UNITED24 and Come Back Alive, the HOPE WEELS project, which included the purchase of case evacuators for the Armed Forces, from Come Back Alive and Tabletki.ua, collections for the SEA BABY fleet of marine drones and robotic platforms, and others.

At the front line, where every moment counts, quality medicines are an important component for maintaining the health of the military. Throughout the year, the ANC Pharmacy Network responded to requests for medicines to hospitals, military brigades and civilian medical institutions. In particular, the Save Ukraine Charitable Foundation asked the Pharmacy Network to provide medicines for the Centers of Hope and Recovery, temporary shelters for orphans, large families, families with children with disabilities and seriously ill children evacuated from the hot spots.

Medical support for the Azov regiment is also active: the ANC pharmacy network regularly sends the military the necessary medicines. ANC medicines were sent to all parts of the frontline – from the Kursk region to the Kherson region. In total, in 2024, ANC transferred almost one and a half million hryvnias for the purchase of medicines for the Armed Forces, hospitals and civilians affected by the hostilities.

The pharmacy chain also supports employees who have joined the ranks of the Defense Forces with medicines. In addition, the company regularly helps its employees to provide equipment and meet the urgent needs of the military formations they are part of. Some of the employees, in particular, are defending Zaporizhzhia region, the home of the ANC pharmacy chain. In order to contribute to the preservation of its home, the company actively supports the military in this area. For example, in cooperation with the Come Back Alive Foundation, in April, ANC Pharmacy Chain donated more than UAH 1 million to purchase a Leleka-100 UAV for one of the brigades. Again in cooperation with Come Back Alive, in September the ANC Network donated more than a million hryvnias to purchase DJI Mavic 3 pro drones for the 128th separate mountain assault brigade. The company is also trying to meet the local needs of military units in all areas of the frontline. The Third Assault Brigade, the 47th Separate Assault Battalion “Magura”, the 55th Separate Artillery Brigade, the 15th Operational Brigade “Kara-Dag” are among those with whom ANC Pharmacy Chain cooperated in providing charitable assistance. Drones, charging stations, technical equipment, spare parts, cars – in total, more than UAH 5 million was donated to meet the urgent needs of the military at local requests in 2024.

However, it is also important to support people who are particularly vulnerable in the context of hostilities – children, residents of frontline regions, and IDPs. Thus, at the beginning of the year, the ANC Network organized the distribution of humanitarian kits for the residents of the Zolochiv community. In addition, in March, as part of the “Caring for Our Future – Dress a Child” campaign, the pharmacy chain purchased spring clothes for children who lost their homes as a result of the war.

In total, during 2024, ANC Pharmacy Chain allocated more than UAH 44 million for charity, and more than UAH 118 million since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
