Eurovision Song Contest 2025: the first video of Ziferblat’s rehearsal on stage has been released

Ziferblat, the band representing Ukraine at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, has published the first video and photos of their rehearsal. The musicians held their second rehearsal on the stage of the St. Jakobsgalle arena in Basel, Switzerland, where the song contest will take place. The video was posted on the official YouTube channel of Eurovision Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
The second rehearsal of the Ziferblat band took place on the main stage of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel – the St. Jakobshalle arena. The first video of the performance, which traditionally lasts only 30 seconds, was shown to the audience.
As you can see from the short video, the number, directed by Maria Korosteleva, is different from the one Ziferblat performed in the National Selection.
In the number, the band’s frontman Danylo Leshchynsky appears as a traveler in search of light, resilience and faith. This image personifies many Ukrainians who, despite everything, start every morning with faith in the best. The colors of the stage are combined with the overall concept of the costumes.
“In the drama of the show, we rely on metaphors, on the artistic image of a nightingale, which awakens the sun every day with its singing, its spark. And without this spark, the next day will not come. And in this part, Danya, who is the main character and a traveler who is looking for light, support in himself, motivation to fight on, to sing, gets into a solar eclipse, complete darkness – black-out, but despite everything he sings on, goes on. And at some point, light begins to grow around him,” the director commented on the meaning of the number.
What is known about Eurovision 2025
The contest will involve 38 countries, 32 of which will compete in the semifinals.
In the grand final, the 20 semi-final winners will be joined by representatives of the Big Five countries: Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, as well as last year’s winner Switzerland.

Which countries returned to Eurovision and which refused to participate
Montenegro returns to the contest after two years of absence .
