Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Maguchikh won the Diamond League stage in Lausanne, Switzerland. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi
with reference to the press service of the NOC of Ukraine.
“The athletics season after the 2024 Olympic Games continued in Lausanne, Switzerland. Yaroslava Maguchikh celebrated the victory in the high jump,” the statement said.
The NOC noted that Maguchikh was the only one in these competitions to conquer the height of 1.99 m.
It is noted that in this way Maguchikh won her 17th victory at the Diamond League stages.
As a reminder, Yaroslava Maguchikh won a gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The Ukrainian will receive $125,000 in prize money for the victory.
Maguchikh previously announced that she would use part of the money to help the Ukrainian Defence Forces, a psychological support fund and animal shelters.
