Breast Health Day
15 October is the European Day of Breast Health.
This day is celebrated every year as another date in a series of events under the Pink October programme dedicated to the fight against cancer. Breast Health Day was launched at the initiative of the European Coalition Against Cancer – Europa Donna. This non-profit organisation was founded in 1994 by a small group of women. Their goal was to raise awareness of the seriousness of cancer and the need for early diagnosis.
Now an independent organisation, Europa Donna unites members from 47 European countries. Their main campaign is the celebration of Breast Health Day. The event was first celebrated in Milan in 2008. Breast Health Day was also celebrated in 2009 with the support of the outstanding tennis player from Spain, Aranca Sanchez-Vicario. Now this day is celebrated annually.
Pharmacist’s Day (Pharmacist’s Day)
15 October is Pharmacist’s Day or Pharmacist’s Day. This holiday is celebrated on the third Tuesday of October.
Pharmacy Technician Day was first endorsed by the Association of Pharmacy Technician Educators, the American Association of Pharmacy Technicians and the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board in 2015.
It has been celebrated on the third Tuesday of October since 1991.

Day of the Lost Child
Every year on 15 October, the world celebrates the International Day of the Lost Child. This date is also known as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

The idea of celebrating Rural Women’s Day was first announced in 1995 at the Fourth United Nations Women’s Conference in Beijing.
The holiday is intended to emphasise the multifaceted importance of rural women in society.
What is the church holiday today
On this day, the Orthodox celebrate the memory of Euthymius of Thessalonica, who lived in Palestine in the 9th century. He was born into a Christian family, married early at the insistence of his parents, but at the age of 18, leaving his wife and daughter behind, he took vows in a monastery on Mount Olympus.
Euthymius chose the path of asceticism, spending his life in strict fasting, prayer and hermitage. Later he became the founder of his own monastery, which later became known as the Monastery of St Euthymius.
After the death of his friend Joseph, Euthymius founded a monastic community near Thessaloniki, restoring the ruins of the ancient monastery of St Andrew.
