How the power will be cut off on December 14: schedules from Ukrenergo

14 December 00:18

Today, December 14, Ukrainian regions will be subject to blackout schedules. The power will be cut off for one and two groups simultaneously , Komersant ukrainskyi reports with reference to the press service of Ukrenergo.

According to the calculations of power engineers, on December 14, the time of application and the scope of restrictions for household consumers will be as follows:

  • 00:00 – 13:00 – one round of blackouts;
  • 13:00 – 17:00 – two rounds of outages;
  • 17:00 – 22:00 – one turn of outages.

At the same time, for industry and business, the power limitation schedules will be applied from 00:00 to 24:00.

The reason for the temporary introduction of restrictions is the damage to power facilities during a massive missile and drone attack on November 28, Ukrenergo reminded. Emergency repair works are still ongoing. Power engineers are doing everything possible to return the equipment damaged by the enemy to operation as soon as possible.

It is noted that the reason for the temporary tightening of restrictions is the damage to power facilities during a massive missile and drone attack on November 28.

The company assured that the power engineers are working to restore the equipment damaged by the enemy as soon as possible.

Power engineers urged to consume electricity sparingly.

At the same time, the time of application and the scope of restrictions during the day may change. For up-to-date information on the schedules of outages in a particular region, please visit the website or official pages of the regional power distribution companies in social networks.

It is noted that Ukrenergo determines only the number of queues to be de-energized. The schedules of outages for each individual queue are determined by the regional power distribution companies.

It is worth reminding that consumers in each region that are not included in the list of critical infrastructure facilities are divided into 6 queues (groups).

Limits of up to three queues mean that half of the consumers in each region are subject to hourly outage schedules. Four queues mean restrictions for up to 70% of consumers in each region.

When oblenergos apply one round of outage schedules, it means 4 hours of restrictions per day, two rounds – 8 hours of restrictions, three rounds – 12 hours of restrictions, four rounds – more than 12 hours of restrictions.

How to distribute this load during the day and how long the queue will be is the responsibility of the regional power distribution company.
