The first Mirage 2000-5F fighters may be delivered to Ukraine by January 20

In January of this year, the Air Force of Ukraine is to receive the first three Mirage 2000-5F fighters. This was written by the specialized publication Avions Legendaires, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
According to the French publication, these fighters will be taken from the French Air Force. Eventually, about ten aircraft of this type will have Ukrainian markings.
It is reported that French specialists have modernized these aircraft so that they can carry and fire SCALP-EG and Storm Shadow cruise missiles. Ukraine has both versions of the missiles.
The publication reminds that the delivery of the aircraft is the result of lengthy negotiations between Emmanuel Macron and Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The French and Ukrainian presidents have made the Mirage 2000-5F one of the symbols of military aid to Ukraine, like the Caesar gun or AMX-10RC tanks. Unlike learning to drive tanks, where training for Ukrainian personnel lasted only a few weeks, it took Ukrainian pilots several months to learn how to maneuver the single-seat delta-wing fighter.
