The Verkhovna Rada has passed in the second reading bill No. 11495, which guarantees military personnel monetary compensation for all unused vacation days in case of dismissal from service during martial law.
This was announced by Oleksiy Honcharenko, a member of the European Solidarity party, and 311 MPs voted in favor of the bill, [Komersant] reports.
According to the document, the right to compensation is granted to those servicemen who did not use their annual basic, additional or social leave during the special period, including that provided for parents of children with disabilities. Compensation must be paid in the year of discharge.
In the event of the death of a serviceman, compensation is paid to the persons specified in the personal order in case of captivity. If there is no such document, the payment is made in accordance with the current legislation. In the absence of such persons, the funds are included in the inheritance.
The law is aimed at ensuring social protection of military personnel and guarantees the right to full compensation for vacations that were not used during service in wartime.
