The enemy also actively advanced in the Toretsk sector.
Yesterday, the enemy launched five strikes with eight missiles and 79 air strikes at the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropping 106 UAVs. In addition, it carried out more than 4,600 attacks, including 159 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor carried out air strikes near the settlements of Golyshivske, Yunakivka, Basivka, Bilopillya in Sumy region; Mala Vovcha, Staritsa, Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, Cherneshchyna in Kharkiv region; Dachne, Nove, Druzhba, Toretsk, Nelipivka, New York, Vozdvizhenka, Tarasivka, Kalynove, Mykhailivka, Oleksandropil, Kostiantynivka, Makarivka, Shevchenko, Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region; Dolinka, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region; Lvov, Mykolaivka in Kherson region.
Situation at the frontline
In the Kharkiv sector, there were three battles near Lypky and Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy attacked 20 times. Defence forces repelled assaults near Hlushkivka, Stelmakhivka, Kolesnikivka, Lozova and Sinkivka.
In the Liman sector, 20 firefights took place, in particular near Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Terny, Novosadove and Torske.
Two combat engagements took placein the Siversky sector. Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian assault operations near Verkhnekamianske and Ivano-Daryivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, 14 engagements took place in the areas of Hryhorivka, Kalynivka, Chasovyi Yar, Klishchiyivka, Stupochky and Predtechyno.
In the Toretsk sector, the Russians attacked 24 times near Zalizne, Toretsk, Diliyivka and Nelipivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders repelled 45 enemy assaults in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Zelene Pole, Mirolyubivka, Hrodivka, Mykolaivka, Ptyche, Novohrodivka, Zavitne, Skuchne and Mykhailivka. The highest concentration of attacks was near Vozdvyzhenka and Novohrodivka.
In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped nine enemy attacks near Paraskoviivka, Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka.
In the Vremivsk sector, Russian invaders attacked four times, in particular towards Vodyane and Rozdolne.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, enemy troops made four assaultson the positions of Ukrainian units. They were unsuccessful.
The situation remained unchangedin theHuliaypillia and Orikhivsk sectors. In the Volyn and Polissya directions, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, conducts mortar and artillery shelling of settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation.
Enemy losses
Yesterday, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces conducted 17 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and weapons. In addition, an artillery system, two air defence systems, three control points, four radars and two other important occupation targets were hit.
In total, the Russian invaders suffered 1120 casualties over the past day. Ukrainian troops also neutralised five tanks, 15 armoured combat vehicles, 48 artillery systems, four MLRS, two air defence systems, 57 operational and tactical UAVs, five cruise missiles, 55 vehicles and 17 pieces of occupants’ special equipment.
The total combat losses of the Russians from 24.02.22 to 19.08.24 are estimated at
