UN volunteer spied on AFU positions in Pokrovsk

A UN volunteer from Pokrovsk has been detained on suspicion of spying for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. About it reports "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the SBU and Donetsk regional Prosecutor’s office.
“The security service detained in Donetsk region agent of the fsb. He turned out to be recruited by the occupants 34-year-old local volunteer of the World food program of the United Nations,” – told in the press service.
According to the investigation, the resident of Pokrovsk was recruited in September in Telegram by a representative of the FSB.
“Covering himself as a volunteer, the traitor spied on the locations of the Defense Forces in the Pokrovsk direction, where the greatest concentration of enemy attacks is now recorded. The task of the Russian agent was to identify the locations of Ukrainian infantrymen and artillery, which hold the defense under the district center”, – added in the SBU.


According to the materials of the case, to find the coordinates of the figure drove around the district center and nearby settlements under the guise of supplying humanitarian aid to local residents
The identity of a cadre employee of the FSB is established by counterintelligence, noted in the special service.
“Rashists used information from the agent to plan new attacks on Pokrovsk using guided aerial bombs and FPV drones,” the SBU said.






Investigators of the security service reported the detainee on suspicion under part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The man is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
