Drones have become one of the most important tools in the fight against the occupier, and drones have already changed the war. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this on his Facebook page, adding a photo report, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
According to the head of state, drones save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and compensate for the shortage of other weapons, including artillery, so that the Ukrainian military can defend themselves and destroy the occupiers.
“And I thank each and every person who works to ensure that Ukraine has the advantage in drones. I thank everyone who produces and supplies, who teaches and who is looking for new technical solutions and develops our army,” the President emphasized.
He also assured that work in this area would continue to be stepped up so that technology could help our country achieve its goals.
How many drones are produced in Ukraine
According to Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, in 2024 Ukraine significantly developed its own defense industry, particularly in terms of drone production.
“Ukrainian drones accounted for 96.2% of all UAVs for the Defense Forces this year,” the minister said.
According to him, in 2024, Ukrainian enterprises manufactured and assembled more than 1.5 million FPV drones. They also produced attack copters-bombers, kamikaze planes, reconnaissance wing drones, and long-range deepstrike drones.
