The Verkhovna Rada has supported the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Olha Stefanishyna. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi reports news agency citing MP Oleksiy Honcharenko on Telegram.
According to him, 241 MPs supported Stefanishyna’s resignation.
According to Kommersant’ s source , Ukrainian Stefanishyna may head the Ministry of Justice instead of Denys Malyuska, who also wrote a letter of resignation.
As a reminder, Stefanishyna was appointed Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine on 4 June 2020.
From March to December 2017, she worked as the Director of the Government Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers.
From December 2017 to September 2019, she worked as Director General of the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Secretariat.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn.
Justice Minister Denys Malyuska and Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strilets, as well as Head of the State Property Fund Vitaliy Koval, have also written letters of resignation.
Information from Kommersant Ukrainskiy’s sources about the dismissal of Rostyslav Shurma, deputy head of the Presidential Office, was confirmed. On 3 September, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Rostyslav Shurma from his post.
