The Social Web Portal of electronic services of the Ministry of Social Policy – soc.gov.ua – has been launched. It is now possible to submit an online application for social services in your personal account. These and other features were presented at the GLOBAL DIGITAL SOCIAL FORUM 2024: Opportunities for Communities digital forum, Komersant ukrainskyi reports, citing the Ministry of Social Policy.
You can apply for social services in your personal account on the Social Portal of the Ministry of Social Policy at the link. This means that it is not necessary to contact the nearest social protection authority in the community – it is enough to use the portal.
It is also possible to leave a message about a person or family in need of social support and track the status of applications.
According to Kostyantyn Koshelenko, Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation (CDTO), social services are only the first stage of the development of the Social Portal of the Ministry of Social Policy. The functionality will be expanded in the future. In particular, it is planned to add the ability to apply for social benefits.
He also added that in anticipation of the portal’s launch, a number of updates to the Unified Social Information System were made throughout Ukraine, including the Easy Start functionality, which allows unverified users (i.e., those without a QES) to submit an application on the portal, and the Signature on the Tablet functionality, which allows an application to be signed directly on the screen of a social worker’s tablet.
Based on the results of beta testing, which took place in the communities of Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Poltava and Cherkasy oblasts, corrections were also made. For 3 months, they tested the functionality and provided feedback.
These 4 pilot regions received 400 tablets, which will help specialists to help a person or family to complete an application more quickly.
