“Green Card” has become more expensive: new tariffs

The Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine (MTIBU) has set new amounts of single insurance payments under Green Card contracts, which came into effect on November 28. This was reported by the MTIBU press service, Komersant ukrainskyi

It is noted that the following amounts of insurance payments will apply:
- for passenger cars (passenger capacity up to 9 people with a driver and weight up to 3500 kg):
uAH 1,173 – 15 days of the contract;
uAH 1,869 – 1 month;
uAH 5,042 – 3 months;
uAH 13,041 – 1 year;
- for buses from UAH 4,390 for 15 days to UAH 39,734 for 1 year.
- for trucks: from UAH 2,511 for 15 days to UAH 31,118 for a year.
The cost of policies for traveling to Azerbaijan and Moldova for cars for 15 days will be UAH 775, for one month – UAH 1,141, for six months – UAH 2,616 thousand, for a year – UAH 3,724 thousand.

We would like to add that Green Card is a system of insurance protection for victims of road accidents, regardless of their country of residence and country of vehicle registration. “The Green Card covers 47 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
According to the decision adopted by the General Assembly of the Council of the Bureau of the International Motor Insurance System “Green Card” in Luxembourg in May 2004, Ukraine became a full member of the system on January 1, 2005.
