Starting today, restrictions for cars will be in effect at Shehyni checkpoint

22 April 00:18

Starting from today, April 22, restrictions on passenger vehicles will be imposed at the Shehyni checkpoint on the border of Ukraine and Poland. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the State Border Guard Service.

Border guards have updated information on the temporary restrictions at the Shehyni checkpoint due to repair work.

“Starting April 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., repair and reconstruction work will begin at Shehyni checkpoint. As a result, the exit from Ukraine for passenger vehicles will be restricted,” the SBGS noted.

The service clarified that only one of the lanes will be closed for exit. However, this may affect the formation of queues.

Border Guard Service officials advised to plan the route in advance and, if possible, choose less busy checkpoints.

These may be the following checkpoints:

  • Rava-Ruska;
  • Hrushev;
  • Uhryniv;
  • Smilnytsia;
  • Nyzhankovychi.

The works at Shehyni checkpoint will last approximately until May 10. The State Border Guard Service advises to follow the updates.

It should be noted that at the Yagodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint on the border with Poland, a partial restriction on the movement of vehicles in the direction of entry to Ukraine was introduced until May 1.
