The chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, has accused the well-known Georgian restaurant chain Gaga of tax evasion. The MP wrote about this in his Telegram channel, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

“In connection with the country’s general unstoppable movement towards de-shadowing, I have a small question for the successful (given the speed of expansion) Gaga restaurant chain. Tell me, is it your principled position to stay in the cache, i.e., not to issue any checks to anyone and pay salaries in the cache,” Hetmantsev asked.

He accused the restaurant chain of disrespecting the Ukrainian army, which is being deprived of funding from taxes on its activities.

Hetmantsev noted that when he was told that Gaga restaurants do not issue any checks to anyone at all, he did not believe it.

“I went to check for myself. I was impressed. I am asking the State Tax Service and the BES to pay attention to strange entrepreneurs,” emphasized Hetmantsev.

He also addressed other well-known restaurateurs.

“When you widely advertise your successful business, telling stunning stories of your success, why is there no mention of 2-3 checks for tax evasion in your stories? This is also part of your “success”. Why be ashamed?” the MP said.
