From ATB to Rukavka: Top 10 retail companies managed by women

In 2024, Ukrainian retail demonstrates not only economic resilience in the difficult conditions of war, but also the growing influence of women at the head of the largest companies. YC.Market analysts have compiled a rating of the TOP-10 retail companies (KVED 47) by revenue in 2024, where women play key roles – owners or managers, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

The YC.Market rating covers companies with the main type of activity under KVED 47 (Retail), where the share of women among the owners or ultimate beneficial owners is at least 25%.

The list includes only companies with available financial statements for 2024, with the exception of fuel retailers, for which CEA 47 is not the main activity. For Epicenter K LLC, the revenue is calculated based on data for three quarters of 2024.

Top 10 retailers with a female face:

1. ATB-Market LLC: ≈ UAH 209 billion. The company’s CEO is Natalia Shapovalova.

2. Epicenter K LLC: ≈ UAH 78.5 billion. Co-owner – Galina Gerega.

3. COMFY TRADE LTD: ≈ UAH 35 billion. Co-owner – Svetlana Gutsul.

4. ROZETKA LTD: ≈ UAH 29.7 billion. Co-founder and co-owner – Irina Chechotkina.

5. Novus Ukraine LLC (NOVUS): ≈ UAH 29.0 billion. Co-owner: Marina Poznyakova.

6. Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine LLC (METRO UA): ≈ UAH 28.8 billion. CEO: Olena Vdovychenko.

7. OTC Europlus LLC: ≈ UAH 14.2 billion. Director and co-owner: Olena Zabolotna.

8. LPP Ukraine (House, Cropp, MOHITO and Sinsay brands): ≈ UAH 11 billion. Co-owner – Anita Rickier.

9. Auchan Ukraine Hypermarket LLC: ≈ UAH 10.1 billion. CEO – Marta Trush.

10. Lvivkholod LLC (regional supermarket chain Rukavychka Chain of Stores): ≈ UAH 6.6 billion. Co-owner – Olga Kozak.

Rating methodology:

  • Companies with the main KVED 47 (“Retail trade”) were considered
  • At least 25% women in ownership/management
  • Available financial statements for 2024 (for Epicenter K – based on 3 quarters)
  • Fuel retailers are excluded due to another main KVED
