The Kyiv Regional Military Administration hosted a meeting of the Kyiv Regional Council of Churches and Religious Organizations. It discussed security measures during Easter services in view of the increased risk of enemy attacks. This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
In addition to representatives of religious organizations, the event was attended by representatives of the National Police, the State Emergency Service, and the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kyiv region. During the holidays, the police, rescuers and the SBU will work in an enhanced mode.
Key restrictions and security measures:
- The curfew is unchanged. Staying outside at night is prohibited.
- Night services should be broadcast online.
- You can visit churches after the curfew is over.
- It is recommended to schedule services and bless Easter baskets to avoid large crowds in one place.
- In the event of an air raid, believers should immediately go to shelters. The number of people present in the church should correspond to the capacity of the nearest shelter.
“The most important thing is to save people’s lives and health. We must do everything to avoid emergencies. I am confident that our joint work will yield positive results and these bright holiday days in the Kyiv region will be calm,” said Zhanna Osypenko, Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
The police, the State Emergency Service and the Security Service of Ukraine will be working in an enhanced mode during the holidays.

It should be noted that Holy Week continues in Ukraine, marking the approach of Easter – today, April 15, believers celebrate the second day, which is Holy Tuesday. On this day, there are special traditions and prohibitions that believers must observe.
