Big privatization: ATB co-owner paid UAH 1.89 billion for Aeroc

Ukraine has successfully implemented another stage of large-scale privatization, receiving UAH 1.89 billion from the sale of the nationalized Aeroc LLC. This was reported by the State Property Fund, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.
These funds have already been allocated to the fund for liquidation of the consequences of armed aggression.
The SPFU reminded that on December 19, an online auction was held for the privatization of a large-scale privatization object – a state share of 100% of the authorized capital of Aerok LLC with a final result of UAH 1.89 billion. The winner of the auction was Trident Geoinvest Ukraine LLC, co-owned by ATB’s co-owner Gennadiy Butkevych, which offered UAH 1.89 billion.
During the bidding, the value of the nationalized Aeroc LLC increased by almost 2 times the starting price.
“Today we have received the funds for this facility. Now the new owner will be able to invest in the company, which will help develop the industry, generate additional revenues to local and state budgets and provide new jobs for people. Overall, the development of such a large enterprise will be an additional factor for the growth of the Ukrainian economy. I would like to point out that all the proceeds from the privatization of Aerok LLC were allocated to the fund for liquidation of the consequences of armed aggression, as it is a nationalized facility that used to belong to a Russian oligarch,” said Ivanna Smachylo, acting Head of the SPFU.

According to the terms of the sale, the buyer is obliged to:
- maintain the main activities of the company,
- pay off wage and budget arrears and overdue accounts payable within 6 months,
- comply with social guarantees
- prevent the dismissal of employees within 6 months from the date of transfer of ownership of the acquired share to him.
It should be noted that Aeroc LLC, through LSR Group (Russia), was owned by the sanctioned Russian oligarch Andrey Molchanov and was confiscated in 2022.
According to the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court of August 22, 2023, and the decision of the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court of October 10, 100% of the share in the authorized capital of Aerok LLC was collected as state revenue.
The company was then transferred to the management of the State Property Fund.
Aeroc LLC is one of the leading manufacturers of aerated concrete products in Ukraine. The plant has production facilities in Kyiv and Lviv regions.
