The High Anti-Corruption Court has confiscated a number of assets of Russian businessman Vladimir Lukyanenko and his son, who were sanctioned by the National Security and Defense Council. This is reported by Komersant UkrainianKomersant Ukrainian with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Justice.

The court allowed the confiscation of corporate rights of 15 companies.

According to the HACC, 100% of the shares of Sumy Machine-Building Research and Production Association – Engineering, 83.9% of Sumy Machine-Building Research and Production Association, 47.5% of VNIAEN, and 90% of Nasosenergomash are subject to nationalization.

Also, 78.32% of the authorized capital of Sumy Machine-Building Research and Production Association LLC, 100% of Standardinvest-Pivden LLC, Plant of Weighted Drill and Lead Pipe, and 50% of Kusum Farm LLC were nationalized.

Lukyanenko Jr’s personal property (an apartment in Sumy and a rifle) will also be confiscated.

“During the trial, Volodymyr Lukyanenko, bypassing the sanctions, in order to prevent the full recovery of assets owned by Repenio Holding Limited, Cyprus (which is the bulk of assets in Ukraine), donated a part of Repenio Holding Limited shares to a foreign charitable foundation,” the Ministry of Justice said.

At the same time, the court refused to seize Lukyanenko Sr.’s property, as well as 100% of the Yubileiny Hotel Complex LLC and small shares in related companies.

The Ministry of Justice plans to appeal the part of the decision that denied the recovery to the HACCU Appeals Chamber.

The court noted that the decision will come into force after the deadline for filing an appeal, which will last 5 days.

It should be noted that both Lukyanenko and Tsoi were sanctioned by the National Security and Defense Council in May 2023.
