Cold snap with moderate snow coming to Ukraine
11 January 18:26Ukrainians have been warned of a cold snap starting Sunday, January 12. The air temperature will drop, with sub-zero temperatures expected in most regions. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko on her Telegram channel, Komersant ukrainskyi reports
“On January 11-12, a cold snap is expected in Ukraine, namely, the air temperature will drop to 0-4 degrees Celsius at night, and during the day, in most regions, from 1 frost to 3 degrees Celsius is expected. Only on January 11 will warmer weather linger in the south and east of Ukraine, but on Sunday it will get colder there as well,” the forecaster predicted.
According to the forecaster, Kyiv will be in the rear of the cold atmospheric front of Cyclone Charly. Thus, -1-4 degrees are expected in the capital at night and 0-2 degrees during the day.
“Cloudy weather prevails with sleet next night, no significant precipitation tomorrow afternoon, and periodic light precipitation in the form of sleet is possible in Kyiv on Sunday. Next week in Ukraine it will also be cool, but without serious frosts – an average European winter,” assured Didenko.
