Electricity transmission tariff to rise in Ukraine: how much should you pay

13 November 17:04

The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission has approved a resolution to increase the electricity transmission tariff. This is reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to information from the national regulator.

In 2025, the tariff will increase by 25.8% to UAH 665.26/MW per hour. The tariff for dispatch control is proposed at UAH 95.07/MWh.

The increase in the electricity transmission tariff means an increase in the cost of services provided by NPC Ukrenergo for the transportation of electricity from producer to consumer.

The official reasons for the tariff increase include a decrease in electricity production and transmission; an increase in compensation for technological costs, salaries at Ukrenergo, loan payments and special obligations for settlements with renewable energy generation. Inflation and currency appreciation were also taken into account.
