Power outages have increased in Kyiv and most regions of Ukraine. This is reported by Komersant ukrainskyiKomersant Ukrainian with reference to Ukrenergo.

It is stated that the emergency blackouts introduced during the air alert have already been canceled.

But in the future, the following blackouts will be in effect in Kyiv, as well as in Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovs’k, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions

  • from 8:00-19:00 – two rounds of outages,
  • from 19:00 to 22:00 – one round of outages.

The reason for the temporary increase in restrictions is the damage to transmission lines caused by shelling by Russian aggressors.

“Power engineers are working to eliminate the consequences in order to return the equipment damaged by the enemy to operation as soon as possible,” the company assured.

Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service reports that 102 settlements in five regions are without power due to wind gusts: Kyiv – 47, Sumy – 27, Chernihiv – 14, Dnipro – 12, and Kirovohrad – 2.

As a reminder, consumers in each region that are not included in the list of critical infrastructure facilities are divided into 6 queues (groups). Restrictions on three queues mean that half of the consumers in each region are subject to hourly outage schedules. Four queues mean that up to 70% of consumers in each region are limited.

When oblenergos apply one round of outage schedules, it means 4 hours of restrictions per day, two rounds – 8 hours of restrictions, three rounds – 12 hours of restrictions, four rounds – more than 12 hours of restrictions.

How to distribute this load during the day and how long the queue will be is the responsibility of the regional power distribution company.
