The State Register of Sanctions has been launched in Ukraine

Ukraine has launched the State Register of Sanctions, which already contains information on 17,202 individuals and legal entities. This was reported by the with reference to the National Security and DefenceCouncil ofUkraine.

It is noted that the creation of the register is aimed at providing free public access to up-to-date and reliable information on entities subject to sanctions.

The register is an information and communication system aimed at collecting , accumulating, protecting, recording, displaying, processing and providing information on all subjects subject to sanctions.

The National Security and Defence Council has clarified that the data in the register is updated promptly and is open to the public, except in cases determined by law.

In addition, the website provides an opportunity to obtain an extract with information about a particular person in electronic form.

The State Register of Sanctions is available at this link. The register is maintained by the NSDC Secretariat in Ukrainian and English.

What the register will contain:

  • grounds for imposing, changing or cancelling sanctions;
  • list of sanctions imposed or cancelled;
  • a list of sanctioned persons and information for their identification: for a company or organisation – name, location, state of registration, registration (identification) number/tax number; for a person – name, date of birth, taxpayer registration number or identification number, citizenship and other data.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed Decree No. 36/2024 “On the Decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine dated 29 January 2024 “On Approval of the Regulation on the State Register of Sanctions”. The Decree came into force on the day of its publication.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the decision of the NSDC of Ukraine enacted by this Decree.
