Ukraine bans mobilization of another profession to the front: what profession?

The Cabinet of Ministers has allowed all clergy to be booked, and religious organizations have been classified as critical. To this end, the government has amended Resolution No. 76 on reservations, Komersant ukrainskyi reports.

Now clergymen will be considered the final beneficiaries, as well as owners of critical enterprises, members of supervisory boards and employees of foreign diplomatic missions.

Changes are also being made to the criteria for defining legal entities. They now include religious organizations, which are considered critical to the functioning of the economy and the life of the population. They have been equated with representative offices of donor agencies and implementers of international technical assistance projects.

The reservation restriction will not apply to clergy. Nor will it apply to prosthetists and other specialists working with medical devices to improve movement and body functionality. In addition, the UAH 20,000 salary limit is also excluded for legal entities-religious organizations.

The Government of Ukraine also makes an exception for legal entities-religious organizations and does not include them in the Unified List of state authorities, local governments and enterprises for the reservation of persons liable for military service.

However, there is an important point: the deferral for clergy can be canceled in case of dismissal from the position of a clergyman. Information about this must be submitted electronically by the State Service for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience.
