New professions have appeared in Ukraine: what kind of professions?
20 December 20:49The Ministry of Economy has updated the Classification of Occupations, which has resulted in 50 new professions and positions on the labor market. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the Ministry’s post on its official Facebook page.
The new professions relate to the fields of medicine, the judiciary, prosecution, media, etc. Among them is the profession of an explosive ordnance disposal operator (deminer).
The Ministry of Economy also abolished 42 outdated job titles, including “Instructor in the organization of work of people’s guards”, “Teacher in social pedagogy”, “Criminal prosecutor”, and changed 34 job titles.
In particular, at the suggestion of the Ministry of Health, 8 job titles in the healthcare sector were modernized and new job titles were introduced: “Nutritionist” and “Medical Statistics Professional”.
At the initiative of the National Police, the Classifier was supplemented with a new classification grouping “Investigators (Police)”. It includes 6 titles of investigative police officers: “Investigator (Police)”, “Senior Investigator in Particularly Important Cases”, “Criminal Investigator (Police)” and others.
Another 18 professions were brought in line with the media legislation at the suggestion of the State Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine. In particular, new titles were added: “Author of texts (copywriter)”, “Author of speeches” and “Videographer”.
Experts of the relevant ministry also added new names to the professions:
- at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy – “Master of Operation and Repair of Robotic and Mechatronic Systems”;
- The State Emergency Service – “Operator of the Operational Rescue Service of Civil Protection”;
- Ministry of Communities and Territories Development – “Station Agent”, “Operator on duty in the district (railway transport)”;
- Ministry of Youth and Sports – “Manager of sports activities”;
- The State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection – 4 titles of professions in the field of critical infrastructure protection and resilience, including “Analyst for assessing risks, threats and security of critical infrastructure” and “Specialist in the protection and resilience of critical infrastructure”.
As a reminder, the Classifier of Occupations currently includes 9,180 professional job titles (professions, positions, occupations), which are systematized into professional groups, depending on the nature and complexity of the work performed, qualifications (level of education, specialization), according to the International Standard Classification of Occupations hierarchy.
