The office of the Ballistics company, which manufactures military equipment, was searched by law enforcement agencies. This was reported on the company’s Facebook page, reports

“Friends, unfortunately, due to searches at our office, the Showroom on Heroes of Sevastopol is closed. Also, technical support in the online store is not working. We will inform you about the resumption of the company’s work separately,”

– the message reads.

In an exclusive comment the owner of the company, Oleksandr Dovgyi, said that the searches were the result of a complaint from a competitor:

“The state has nothing to do with this, there is a statement about an alleged crime from an individual, Sergey Minyayluk. He is the owner of Velmet, which is our competitor. We have been in dispute with them for a long time. They write various statements about crimes. Last time, their statements were followed by more rigorous searches – products were seized, etc. As far as the employees have reported to me so far, the inconvenience is that our showroom, call centre and technical support are currently closed. I don’t think the searches will last long. They are trying to seize documents and office equipment, etc.”

According to him, the pretext for the searches was completely contrived by a competitor.

“The pretext was their suspicion that the materials of one of the commercial cases in which they were suing us allegedly contained some forged documents, based on the seal that certified these documents. However, since 2011, seals have not been mandatory for us. In addition, when it comes to internal documents, they are certified only if they go out. Accordingly, if they are submitted to the court, they are certified with a seal. It’s a bit absurd, but they have already filed at least three lawsuits with the AMCU, two or three with the Commercial Court, and a criminal case. They really don’t like the way we manufacture our products,”

– added the owner of Ballistics.

The owner of Velmet, Serhiy Minyayluk, who allegedly claimed that the searches were taking place, in turn, posted a video in which he insisted that the documents had been forged by representatives of Ballistics.

There is no comment from law enforcement agencies, however, according to sources sources, the searches were conducted by the Kharkiv department of the National Police.

“Balistika is a Ukrainian company that produces military ammunition, body armour, tile carriers, backpacks, and bulletproof bags. The company specialises primarily in ballistic protection equipment, which it supplies to both government and commercial organisations.
