In Kamyanske, Dnipropetrovsk region opened an updated women’s department in the 8th clinical hospital of the city, which was modernized thanks to the support of philanthropist Oleg Krot and his charitable organization “Techiia Foundation”, Komersant ukrainskyi reports, citing a BO release.
The department is equipped with a modern mobile gynecological chair with electric drive, which allows you to individually adjust it to each patient for comfortable medical procedures.
According to the head of the gynecological department Olena Vernyuk, the new equipment significantly improves the quality of medical services.
“The advantages of this chair are the presence of an electric drive, which allows you to configure it for comfortable work and convenient gynecological procedures,” said Elena Vernyuk.
In addition to conventional techniques, the new equipment is used to provide urgent medical care, including the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, genital injuries, and other gynecological pathologies.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, many women immigrants from the front-line areas have settled in Kamyanske, as well as women soldiers who already have the opportunity to receive free medical care here. In particular, this week, an operation was successfully performed on a migrant woman with abnormal uterine bleeding.
New equipment has already shown its effectiveness in providing medical care to patients, including small surgical interventions and diagnostic procedures. This is not the first such project of the Techiya Foundation by Oleh Krot during the war.
Earlier, the Transcarpathian Regional Center for Neurosurgery and Neurology in the city of Uzhgorod received important assistance from a public organization and its co-founder Oleg Krot. The center was given modern functional gurneys, which are already used in the intensive care unit and the admission department.
This medical institution is one of the most powerful in Ukraine, where professionals work and conduct a large number of complex surgical interventions, including endovascular procedures, operations on patients with strokes, cancer, as well as operations using a unique “wake up” anesthesia.
The transferred gurneys have an X-ray transparent bed, functional capabilities for moving patients in different positions and a special fifth wheel for overcoming thresholds. This greatly facilitates the work of medical personnel and reduces the time for diagnosis and preparation for surgery. This help is especially important for patients with spinal injuries, for whom minimizing movements is crucial.
Philanthropist Oleg Krot and his powerful team continue to support medical institutions during the war in Ukraine.
