The Government has simplified the booking of employees of gas distribution operators

On January 10, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine simplified the procedure for granting the status of gas distribution system operators critical to the economy. This was reported by the Government portal, Komersant ukrainskyi informs.
The changes apply to companies that ensure the stable functioning of gas supply systems during a special period.
What exactly has been changed in the booking procedure
From now on, the requirement for a monthly salary of more than 2.5 minimum wages for the last calendar quarter is no longer applied to the reservation of operators’ employees.
Operators have the opportunity to choose the criterion of the amount of the accrued average salary of employees – not less than the average in the region for the fourth quarter of 2021, as one of the three mandatory criteria.
Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaliy Kindrativ explained that this decision will allow enterprises to obtain the required status faster and ensure their efficient operation to ensure stable gas supply in emergency situations.
In order for companies to receive the criticality status, they need to prepare documents in accordance with the new criteria, submit an application to the Ministry of Energy and wait for the decision of the commission that regularly reviews requests.
The government recalled that the work of the services that provided the booking process was temporarily suspended after a cyberattack on the registers of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, which occurred on December 19, 2024. In response to this situation, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to extend the existing reservations of persons liable for mobilization for one month automatically.
In order to ensure the continuity of reservations for employees of critical enterprises, such enterprises need to obtain criticality status according to the new criteria and make reservations through the Diia portal until February 28 inclusive.
We would also like to remind you that today, during his speech in the Parliament, the Ukrainian Prime Minister announced that the Cabinet of Ministers intends to settle the issue of reservations for the mobilization of repair crews of gas distribution network operators as early as this Friday.
He also stated that in total, about 900-950 thousand people in Ukraine are reserved for mobilization. This number, according to the Prime Minister, has been fixed for a long time and does not affect the amount of mobilization required by the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense.
