The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the housing subsidy program for IDPs – now it is extended automatically, covers more expenses and allows renting any kind of housing. This was reported by the Communications Department of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

Every six months, the subsidy for internally displaced persons (IDPs) is automatically renewed if the family is still eligible for this type of financial assistance. There is no need to apply for assistance again, the Pension Fund will check the data itself through state registers.

The family pays 20% of its income for rent, and the rest is covered by the state.

In addition, the calculation is now based on current rental prices according to the State Statistics Service.

IDPs can also rent not only an apartment or house, but also a separate room. To do so, they need to sign any written agreement, and not necessarily a standard one.

Now IDPs can rent housing not only from individuals but also from companies (legal entities). The landlord can refuse to compensate taxes at his own request.
