Large internet providers and mobile operators will be able to book all employees. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi with reference to the a statement by by Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
This became possible because the Government supported changes to the relevant resolution.
In addition, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a task to stabilise mobile communications and the Internet during blackouts, and the decision to book employees is one of the necessary steps. Blackouts should not affect people’s basic life needs.
In particular, emergency teams of providers and operators are restoring telecoms infrastructure to ensure that Ukrainians have access to communication and the Internet despite the blackouts and shelling.
Requirements for mobile operators and internet providers that book employees
- critical enterprise status;
- compliance with the requirements of the National Centre for Emergency Situations;
- a profit of UAH 200 million per month;
- employees included in the lists must have been employed by the company for at least a quarter and work full-time.
Requirements for internet service providers with a monthly profit of less than UAH 20 million:
- have the status of a critical enterprise;
- comply with the requirements of the NCU;
- have already formed emergency repair teams in the territories of Dnipro, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions.
